The Jeep Wrangler (JK) was an instant sales success when it first hit the market in 2007. It was the third generation of the Jeep Wrangler series and came with a completely redesigned chassis, body and an expanded wheelbase, which is stretched by 20 inches instead of 10 inches, setting it apart from the older TJ and CJ Wrangler models. The JK model has a separate body and frame and can also be driven without doors, just like the Wranglers that came before it. Another unique selling feature of the new JK models was the 4-door option, which accounted for three quarters of all new Wranglers sales by mid 2017. This option was referred to as the Wrangler Unlimited.
